Southampton, Portsmouth and Wool, United Kingdom – November 2015

In supplement to our annual visit to London (see separate review), we decided to add on 3 nights to our stay in England. For this portion of our stay, we decided to head Southwest of the city to cities of Southampton, Portsmouth. Why Southampton, Portsmouth, and Wool? Well, if you are a military history buff, you probably know the answer. For those that aren’t (for example, me!), you’ll find the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth and the Tank Museum in Wool/Bovington. Southampton just happens to be in between!

St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Punta de Mita, Mexico – August 2015

I was VERY excited about this trip from the moment I knew I could book it. The St. Regis Punta Mita is consistently rated as one of the top resorts in Mexico and I had never traveled to the Riviera Nayarit area of the country, so it seemed like an obvious choice to “kill a few birds with one stone” (I promise- no birds were harmed during our trip!) I’d travel to a new destination, experience a resort I have always wanted to visit, check out a highly rated luxury property for you, my clients, and celebrate my wedding anniversary on the opposite end of the Pacific Ocean from where we were married.

Client Favorites in Tahiti: Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

We mentioned last week that Bora Bora is our top destination request. However, within Bora Bora, our top resort request is for the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. It’s not only the most sought after resort on Bora Bora, but it’s become one of the most sought after resorts in the entire South Pacific region, perhaps even the world. It’s popular with celebrities and is considered to be the ultimate honeymoon and romance destination. It also ticks the box as a top bucket list experience.

Client Favorites in Tahiti: InterContinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa

Bora Bora is our top request and rightly so- there are pictures all over the internet of overwater bungalows dotting the famous lagoons with the iconic Mt. While we have our own personal preferences, we realize that those properties aren’t always best for our clients. Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort, Cancun, Mexico – May 2015

After a year-long hiatus from travel to focus on health, I finally decided it was time to dip my toes back into the waters and go on vacation. To keep things simple and close to home, we used my Westin timeshare StarOptions for a week at the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort in Cancun, Mexico. (NOTE: I have since sold my Vistana Starwood Ownerships as they no longer aligned with my lifestyle.)

Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti: InterContinental Tahiti Resort

Did you know that “Tahiti” is used to refer to the entire country of French Polynesia, but Tahiti is also the name of the main island in French Polynesia? The island of Tahiti is where the action happens- it’s the country’s hub for business, it’s where the major airport is located, and it’s where most of the residents of the country live. It’s because of these things that the island of Tahiti is often overlooked. When spending thousands of dollars to escape to paradise, you typically don’t want to stay in an area that is busy and built up. However, Tahiti is much more than its capitol, Papeete, and the place to stay on the island is the InterContinental Tahiti Resort.

Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti: Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort

On this #TravelTuesday/ #TahitiTuesday, we’re heading to one of Tahiti’s most popular islands- Moorea! Moorea is one of the most active and lush islands in Tahiti, with the exception of the island of Tahiti itself! Moorea has the gorgeous lush mountains of Tahiti, minus the traffic and bustle of Papeete, and the crystal blue lagoons of Bora Bora, minus the added price premiums of being in Bora Bora. There are a few resorts to choose from on the island and each one offers a unique experience. However, one of our personal favorites is Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort .
