We’re back on #TahitiTuesday / #TravelTuesday with a slight twist on “Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti” series!

While we have our own personal preferences, we realize that those properties aren’t always best for our clients. We get a lot of requests for Moorea and Bora Bora, so we decided to pay homage to the resorts we book most frequently or those that are most frequently requested (sometimes what a client requests is not what is right for them. So, we customize every package to suit the wants and needs of each travel request!) For our very first “Client Favorite” resort, we’re featuring the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort!

Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti: Hotel Kia Ora Resort and Le Sauvage

Our last stop in our  #TravelTuesday/ #TahitiTuesday tour is the Hotel Kia Ora Resort/Le Sauvage. Hotel Kia Ora and Le Sauvage are two separate properties with different locations on the atoll, but are managed by the same company. In their own ways, both offer a glimpse into the beauty of Rangiroa.

Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti: InterContinental Tahiti Resort

Did you know that “Tahiti” is used to refer to the entire country of French Polynesia, but Tahiti is also the name of the main island in French Polynesia? The island of Tahiti is where the action happens- it’s the country’s hub for business, it’s where the major airport is located, and it’s where most of the residents of the country live. It’s because of these things that the island of Tahiti is often overlooked. When spending thousands of dollars to escape to paradise, you typically don’t want to stay in an area that is busy and built up. However, Tahiti is much more than its capitol, Papeete, and the place to stay on the island is the InterContinental Tahiti Resort.

Our Favorite Resorts in Tahiti: Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort

On this #TravelTuesday/ #TahitiTuesday, we’re heading to one of Tahiti’s most popular islands- Moorea! Moorea is one of the most active and lush islands in Tahiti, with the exception of the island of Tahiti itself! Moorea has the gorgeous lush mountains of Tahiti, minus the traffic and bustle of Papeete, and the crystal blue lagoons of Bora Bora, minus the added price premiums of being in Bora Bora. There are a few resorts to choose from on the island and each one offers a unique experience. However, one of our personal favorites is Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort .

Best Honeymoon Resorts in the South Pacific

Brides Magazine recently published a list if the best honeymoon resorts in the South Pacific. The list was compiled mostly from reviews on TripAdvisor, with a high percentage of those reviews being from honeymooners. As it turns out, we happen to agree with the list! Personally, we don’t need a special occaision to visit these properties. In fact, we’ve visited most of them already! Our only wish was that they had expanded their list to include resorts on other islands in French Polynesia. Oh, how we love Tahiti!!!

Bora Bora is truly a bucket list destination, with bright, colorful lagoons and the most luxurious overwater bungalows in the South Pacific. There are 10 resorts to choose from on the island and each one offers a unique experience. However, one of our personal favorites is Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island.

Moorea, Taha’a, Bora Bora, Rangiroa, Tahiti – October 2013

In late October, I had the privilege of being a guest of Sofitel French Polynesia to visit their Moorea and Bora Bora properties. In addition, we also visited Tahiti’s “Hidden Paradise” islands of Taha’a and Rangiroa, staying at Le Taha’a, my perennial  favorite, and Kia Ora Rangiroa. This particular itinerary, and the activities planned, ranks as one of the best available to really see and feel French Polynesia. This trip highlighted French Polynesia’s best offerings and it will be hard to replicate the experience (though I will certainly try!)

Etu Moana, Aitutaki, Cook Islands- April 2013

If you read my blog frequently, or are just glancing it over for the first time, it’s pretty obvious that I love traveling to the South Pacific. I have had the desire to visit the Cook Islands for some time now, not only because it’s a tropical paradise in my favorite part of the world, but also because it has always been billed as a more budget friendly alternative to Tahiti. I often get travel requests for Tahiti with a proposed budget in the $5000-$6000 range and, most of the time, it’s just not doable. However, would the Cooks be doable? And, if so, is it a worthy comparison? The answer is YES!

Heron, Wilson, and Lizard Islands, Great Barrier Reef, Australia- August 2012

Just one quick glance at my blog and you have probably figured out that I was recently married! We had decided early on that we wanted a destination wedding and ended up choosing Australia. It’s obviously quite a large continent, so to be more specific, we decided to get married and honeymoon in the State of Queensland, specifically, near the Great Barrier Reef.  We had some time restrictions due to work, among other things, which limited our time, but in total, we were on the ground there for 14 nights. It sounds like a lot of time for just one area, but we didn’t even get to scratch the surface of the Reef!
